On this Upper Mustang trek you can view Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) Base Camp with 08th highest Mt. Manaslu 8,163 m, range of mountains with Lamjung Himal.
Upper Mustang one of the classic trek regions due to its remoteness where the culture remains as it was for hundreds of years, with its strong Tibetan tradition influence along with the landscapes and the route accessibility from Pokhara and Jomsom of lower Mustang area and then concluding at picturesque touristic city at Pokhara after flying from Jomsom.
This Upper Mustang trek is moderate to adventurous where all types of travelers can join in this wonderful walking journey and the time duration taking just a little more than a week in the comfort of warm cozy lodge known as tea houses along the route. 
Upper Mustang is rated as one of the best cultural and classic trekking destination, for its unique ancient traditions and way of life as it was from many centuries, this journeys leads from mediterranean of mid hills to arctic landscapes and climate zone, all these drastic change in temperature found only in Mustang and Kaligandaki area, this makes a drastic change in vegetations and its awesome scenery and beautiful landscapes.
This trek leads through many traditional Mustang, Thakali and Gurung villages famous as traders for hundreds of years with Nepal and Tibet, as this was the old Trans- Himalayan Salt Trade Route to Tibet.
This remarkable trek starts from Jomsom of Mustang area and then over to higher Mustang region via the high pass at 3,950 m of Lho La pass and 3,810 m at Dhakmar, one of the highest point of this trek and slowly with a scenic walk ending this beautiful and awesome trekking at Jomsom and then fly to Pokhara city where the high snow capped peaks reflects in its serene lake Phewa.
After a great remarkable moment at Upper Mustang passing charming villages of Tshele, Ghami, Geling and Lho-Manthang, Kagbeni and Jomsom walking towards Kali Gandaki River with scenic view to Jomsom for a short sweeping flight back to Pokhara and then return back to Kathmandu for your international flight after a memorable time with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition trekking around Upper Mustang.
Day 01:       Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:       Morning drive or fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Day 03:       Morning flight to Jomsom 2,715 m and trek to Kagbeni - 04 hrs.
Day 04:       Trek to Tshele 3,050 m - 06 hrs.
Day 05:       Trek to Geling 3,540 m - 05 hrs.
Day 06:       Trek to Tsarang 3,560 m - 06 hrs.

Day 01:      Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Rendezvous in Kathmandu where you will be joined with other members of the trekking team on reaching respective hotels, our guide or group leader will brief information regarding your trekking with do’s and don’ts.
Day 02:      Drive to Pokhara 950m - 06 hrs journey distance 220 k.m.
Morning travel by tourist coach or in private vehicle over the busy scenic highway towards amazing picturesque Pokhara valley driving through the Himalayan foothills, on arrival at Pokhara transfer to respective hotels nearby beautiful Phewa Lake with afternoon free for short walks.
For flying option a 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara on arrival our staff will transfer you to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake side with afternoon at leisure.
Day 03:      Morning Flight to Jomsom 2,700 and trek to Kagbeni - 04 hrs.
An early start from the hotel in Pokhara for a short flight to Jomsom, the flight takes only 22 mins with mind blowing views of Annapurna, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri range of mountains, on reaching Jomsom meet our trekking crews and porters, Jomsom a large town and a headquarter of Mustang district.
First day walk of this fabulous journey starts right from Jomsom walking on a gentle path most of the day on the Kali-Gandaki river valley, after four hours of good walk on this windy valley reaching at Kagbeni village from here starts the Tibetan culture and religion with great scenery of Mt. Dhaulgairi, Nilgiri’s, this village, the door to Forbidden Kingdom of Upper Mustang.
 
Day 04:      Trek to Tsele 3,050m - 06 hrs.
From Kagbeni morning walk continues with an uphill into a canyon gorge of Kaligandaki river, following this river upstream with awesome landscapes scenery with red cliffs on both side of the gorge, passing few villages and hamlets coming to a nice cultivated farm land at Tirigaon village, looking over an interesting and picturesque cliff canyon of red colored erosion, continue trek on this windswept valley for another few hours reaching at Tsele (or Chele) village for overnight stop, this quite a large village located by the Kaligandaki river valley.
 
Day 05:      Trek to Geling 3,540 m - 05 hrs.
After a nice stop at Tsele village, our journey continues with a climb to Gyakar village, on the wide barren and arid terrain to reach at Samar village, one of the lovely villages along this route. After a ice stop continue walk towards a small settlement of Bhena, and then leading to a steep uphill to Yamda La top at 3,860 meters a small pass, offering glorious views of Mustang wide valley including high peaks with Mt. Dhaulagiri mountain range. After an enjoyable stop with the striking views, descend all the way to Geling village for overnight stop through Syangboche village.
 
Day 06:      Trek to Tsarang 3,560 m - 06 hrs.
Morning an optional tour of old Geling monastery before beginning the walk to Tsarang “Charang” village, an interesting old monastery of Geling here visiting the monastery with Buddhist mani (prayer) wheels run with water power, after a quick tour, morning walk leads to cross over Ghaymi Khola (stream) and then following a long row of interesting Mani walls (holy prayer stone) and reaching at Dhakmar village, after a short rest here couple of hours of god walk brings at overnight stop at Tsarang village encircled by large crops fields with buck wheat’s and barley the only crops that can be grown on this high elevation and cold climate, at Tsarang after getting organized in local lodge or guesthouse for overnight stop, with time to visit another monastery of Tsarang village.
 
Day 07:      Trek to Lho-Manthang 3,700 m - 04 hrs.
Walk today leads to our main highlight and to our destination reaching the higher side of Upper Mustang at Lho Manthang. A half day walk to Lho Manthang for lunch and overnights, the pleasant morning walk follows a gentle path and then crossing a steel bridge to reach at Marang village, from here the trail winds up to a ridge top, coming across chortens and mani stones in between Tsarang and Lho Manthang, offering amazing views of windswept terrain landscapes and of true Tibetan plateau country with super panorama of Nilgiri’s, Tilicho and Bhrikuti mountains, after a wonderful moment walk leads to a climb at Lo La pass 3,950 meters elevation and looking below  views of Lo Manthang walled city with its fortress, and then on the downhill path reaching a stream and an hour walk reaches inside a mystical, medieval walled city of Lho Manthang here check into a lodge  for overnight stop for two nights.
 
Day 08:      In Lho-Manthang for local hike and tour.
An exciting place for rest and free day and this is the highest overnight stop of this wonderful journey as well, after a lazy morning with breakfast explore the important places if the king of Mustang is around worth a visit to the palace like fort, nearly all the houses are of Tibetan style with its strong influence and way of life also, visit the surrounding villages intact with this large village rather than a city. This amazing place with four major monasteries the Namgyal Gompa, Champa Lakhang (God House), Red Thubchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa and the great Entrance Hall.
 
Day 09:      Trek to Dhakmar 3,810 m - 06 hrs.
From Lho-Manthang heading back to Jomsom onwards, after 2 nights of great interesting and impressive time, heading back using an old trekking route passing several farm houses and  tended fields with few willow and poplars the only trees that survives in this barren terrain, a few hours trekking to Marang village on the same path and then avoiding the main trail to an old walking path all the way to our overnight stop at Dhakmar village after six hours of nice fine walks.
 
Day 10:      Trek to Ghiling 3,806 m - 06 hrs.
After Dhakmar village, starting the morning trekking retracing the same path back to  Ghiling village for overnight stop, crossing a bridge over Ghami Khola to Ghami village with visit Geling monastery on route.
 
Day 11:      Trek to Tsusang 2,980 m - 06 hrs.
As the walk progress loosing elevation as the journey heads towards Kaligandaki valley, morning walk beginning with gradual uphill to Syangboche village, from here couple of hours walk brings at Yamda La after catching the wonderful views of surrounding hills and valleys, then downhill to Bhena and Samar villages, and then following a stream leading through Gyakar and Chele villages and completing the day walk at Tsusang village.
 
Day 12:      Trek to Jomsom 2,715 m - 06 hrs.
From Tsusang village walk comes to an end of this wonderful trip, today’s walk is quite long so enjoy the final day walk to Jomsom town which leads to a gentle downhill and then following several villages and into a canyon with  high red cliffs to reach at Kagbeni village, after a stop here for while another 3 hours of good walk on the valley floor brings at Jomsom and the end of the long walk of this amazing trips, in Jomsom in the comfort of nice and good lodges and enjoy the party with fellow members and staffs with apple products of Mustang area, as Jomsom, Kagbeni to Marpha famous for apples and its products.
 
Day 13:      Drive of fly back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable trip in the mid hills of Annapurna area,  then on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.
(Options to fly back to Kathmandu our staff will transfer you to Pokhara domestic airport for 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu meet our staff and then transfer back to respective hotels).
Day 14:      In Kathmandu with cultural tour at places of interest.
This day reserved a free day in case of flight delay in Lukla due to bad weather conditions, and one can join for sightseeing tour at leisure, depart hotel for few hours in our interesting cultural tour of heritage sites as Kathmandu valley is full of world heritage sites, however some of them been damaged from recent earthquake.
The  tour of holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath ( Little Tibet), Swayambhunath ( Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to the hotel, afternoon free at leisure for individual activities.
Day 15:      International departure for home ward bound.
After a great memorable time and experience with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
POKHARA VALLEY:
Pokhara is one of the most unique sub-tropical valley in the Himalaya and probably in the world, where one can marvel the beauty of the Himalayan landscape  and reflection of the Annapurna massif including the towering majestic peak of Mt. Machhapuchhre on its beautiful lakes.. Pokhara is situated in the mid western Nepal. It is linked by the main highway of 200 km driving distance from Kathmandu, and by air approximately 20 to 30 minutes flight with a sweeping panoramic views of the mid east to western Himalayan ranges.
Mother Nature has certainly blessed this fertile valley with outstanding scenery of the landscapes, snow capped mountains, moderate tropical climate, and beautiful pristine lakes of Begnas, Rupa and Phewa.
