Mt. Manaslu first summitted and explored in early May 09th 1956 by Japanese Expeditions led by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu Sherpa.
Mt. Manaslu located in the Mid North West of Nepal Himalaya first opened for western travelers and adventures in 1991, but the climb to this world 8th highest had been open for since 1950’s till today.
The area was pioneered and explored by H.W. Tilman in early 1950.
Mt. Manaslu also called as Kutang by local and in Tibetan language, the word Manaslu derived from Sanskrit “Manas” meaning ‘spirit of the mountain or the soul’ (like Lake Manasarover around Mt. Kailash in Tibet).
